Even if the beaten person suffers not only outside, but also inside, it is possible to provide him/her with the necessary help. Unfortunately, the situation with the words attacks is also very problematic, because it can be very complicated to understand that there are any issues among children. It is impossible to find bruises and broken bones after bullying with the words. Yet, every person who experienced this, know how it hurts. Verbal bullies can lead to very serious consequents that can ruin the life of the victim. It doesn’t matter what age children are. They can start bullying someone for a reason that seems reasonable for them at that period of time. If it happens only a couple of time, it, probably, won’t have any dramatic consequences. However, if it continues, the life of the victim will be horrible. It is even possible that the aggressors will regret in the future, but it will be very complicated to change anything. The worst thing in such situations that almost never there is someone, who can help. In my high school years, I saw what bullying is with my own eyes. I wasn’t a victim, and I wasn’t an aggressor. Yet, I was a person, who was watching how other teens teased Emily, my classmate, and I did nothing. The reason why she was teased is that she was quite fat and had a funny haircut. At first, the jokes about here were not very offensive, and it was even funny sometimes to hear them. Yet, every next time was worse and worse. I had noticed a few times, how Emily cried after such word attacks. The problem is that any teacher didn’t notice or didn’t want to notice that this problem exists. A few times, I wanted to protect her, but I also was quite afraid that I will become the next victim. After all, I decided to inform the teacher about the situation with Emily. Fortunately, he listens to my words and decided to talk to her and to her parents. When the truth was disclosed, everyone was shocked because Emily suffered from the depression and even had suicidal thoughts. I’m afraid to think of what could happen. Yet, even after all this, not all of the people understood the seriousness of the situation. Not all of the aggressors felt guilty about their behavior. Some of the teens even thought that Emily was the one who was guilty of the bullying. Unfortunately, such situations aren’t something rare in schools and even colleges. It is very good when there is someone to stand for a victim, but very often people are aloof. Verbal bullying is something that ruins the person from the inside, especially if it is just a child or teenager, who doesn’t know how to protect him/herself or whom to ask for help. It is essential for teachers to be more attentive and help such people. Apart from this, children or teens, who see such situations, also should be brave and do something when it is not too late. It is not necessary to protect a victim by yourself, if you are afraid of becoming a victim too, but is crucial to do at least something, like telling the teacher or parents about the problem. It is always possible to find a decision if just to try enough to do this.

Running for Change Three Hult Students Launch Social Enterprise in San Francisco

That co-founding team is made up of three Master of Social Entrepreneurship students at Hult San Francisco: Thomas Querton, Magali Mathieu, and Olivier Kaeser. Thomas, who is Chief Empathy Officer at Atlas, originally had the idea of engaging communities through running while living in Belgium (his native country), and recognized a Master of Social Entrepreneurship at Hult as a way to manifest that vision: â€Å"It was clear to me that I needed two things: a better understanding of the industry I was getting into and an innovative environment to work in. So I decided to move to the capital of innovation and foolishness: San Francisco. I had this naive ambition of wanting to change the world and I was lucky enough to find 65 classmates at Hult who shared this unreasonableness. Especially Magali and Olivier who embarked on this run with me to start making my American dream a reality.† Atlas co-founding team, Thomas Querton, Magali Mathieu Olivier Kaeser. Combining diverse backgrounds, the three co-founders describe Atlas as a platform to bring together a global community of change-makers (people like you) in creating empathy and tangible social impact through running. Magali Mathieu, Chief Impact Officer at Atlas, describes their journey with the third campaign: We chose  Fonds Ngangi as they were a trusted non-profit we had a connection to. This allowed Atlas  to send 3 students to school in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).  The plan was  to reach 2 grants  in 30 days but the campaign  exploded so we pushed to get one more full scholarship and our runners did it, together  we raised $2,700! It was great to see so much initiative from Fonds Ngangi,  the students organized their own race in the DRC as they wanted to be a real part of the campaign. Moving forward we are focusing on connecting  our corporate and  nonprofits partners with our runners locally. So if youre in the Bay area, youll be running for a cause happening right here! Buoyed by this engagement with their platform, the Atlas team then launched their fourth (and current) campaign encouraging runners to participate for Social Advocates for Youth (SAY), an organization empowering homeless youth in the SF Bay Area. Their aim is to raise $2,500 in order to furnish SAY’s â€Å"Dream Center,† a campus with temporary and long-term housing to bring youth off the streets, along with counseling and work opportunities to help reintegrate them back into society. The key to this campaign, and a core value driving the Atlas mission, is to focus on promoting a local ecosystem of change where local runners run for local causes sponsored by local companies. In this way they hope to exceed simply being an awareness campaign by providing actionable avenues of participation to all locals who wish to do something to improve their community. And the local Hult community has already answered this call to support SAY, with a number of them even running in the San Francisco Marathon. The unfolding of the SAY campaign gives a sound example of how Atlas creates a community of change-makers, and empowers local individuals to act for their local causes. What Marine Animal Holds Its Breath the Longest

Some animals, like fish, crabs and lobsters, can breathe underwater. Other animals, like whales, seals, sea otters, and turtles, live all or part of their lives in the water, but cant breathe underwater.  Despite their inability to breathe underwater, these animals have an amazing ability to hold their breath for a long time. But what animal can hold its breath the longest? The Animal That Holds Its Breath the Longest So far, that record goes to the Cuviers beaked whale, a medium-sized whale that is known for its long, deep dives. Theres a lot that is unknown about the oceans, but with developments in research technologies, were learning more each day. One of the most useful developments in recent years has been the use of tags to track an animals movements. It was through using a satellite tag that researchers Schorr, et.al. (2014) discovered this beaked whales amazing breath-holding capabilities. Of the coast of California, eight Cuviers beaked whales were tagged. During the study, the longest dive recorded was 138 minutes. This was also the deepest dive recorded—the whale dove more than 9,800 feet. Until this study, southern elephant seals were thought to be the big winners in the breath-holding Olympics. Female elephant seals have been recorded holding their breath for 2 hours and diving more than 4,000 feet. How Do They Hold Their Breath so Long? Animals that hold their breath underwater still need to use oxygen during that time.  So how do they do it?  The key seems to be myoglobin, an oxygen-binding protein, in the muscles of these marine mammals. Because these myoglobins have a positive charge, the mammals can have more of them in their muscles, as the proteins repel each other, rather than sticking together and clogging up the muscles. Deep-diving mammals have ten times more myoglobin in their muscles than we do. This allows them to have more oxygen to use when theyre underwater. Whats Next?   One of the exciting things about ocean research is that we never know what happens next. Perhaps more tagging studies will demonstrate that Cuviers beaked whales can hold their breath even longer—or that there is a mammal species out there that can surpass even them. In today’s health care a major problem is the management of pain after surgical procedures. The purpose of this paper is to improve the quality of pain management for post-operative patients by integrating more non-pharmacological and holistic techniques. Gà ©linas, Arbour, Michaud, Robar, and Cà ´tà © described non-pharmacological interventions as interventions that do not involve the use of medications to relieve pain (2013). Pain is a subjective experience. Gà ©linas et al. found that pain often goes undertreated in patients which can contribute to physical, emotional, and psychological distress (2013). This distress increases anxiety and can interfere with the healing process. Pain is often worsened by anxiety and fear (Comeaux Steele-Moses, 2013). Therefore, reducing anxiety can also aid in reducing pain. The most often used intervention for pain management is the use of drug therapy. However, drug therapy alone is not effective. For example, on the South 3 West uni t of Holyoke Medical Center patients still report pain levels of 9 and 10 on the numerical pain scale even after receiving pain medication. There are also risks to relying solely on drug therapy. Prolonged use of analgesics can cause harmful side effects to the patient, such as decreased respiratory rate. Non-pharmacological interventions could decrease the need for medications. Some companies take an advantage of the rule that during the internship, the companies do not need to pay their student working hours. Intern students are forced to work excessive hours without adequate rest. However, most of the time people forgot that the way an individual interprets the text depends on his or her cultural, social, economic and educational background. Therefore, if the reader assumes that his or her understanding is the same as the Holy Spirits then the process of interpretation will not be an effective one 4.It is to be noted that the Bible is often considered to be both the eternal relevance as well as the the human words in history. Therefore, an interpreter needs to take both these two points into consideration before he or she embarks on the process of interpretation. In the words of the two authors, The Bible......is the Word of God given in human words in history(Fee and Stuart 2003). Moreover, it is to be noted that the Church since the traditional time has understood the nature of the Scripture to the same as that of Christ. Therefore, as per the authors the starting point of our interpretation of the Scriptures requires an understanding of the then and there and here and now (Fee and Stuart 2003). According to the authors Fee and Stuart (2003), an understanding of the then and there and the here and now is very important for an understanding of the Scriptures because during the interpretation of the Bible, the interpreter often faces a tension between the historical and the eternal relevance of the scripture. According to the authors, God chose to speak in the context of real human history, we may take courage that these same words will speak again and again in our own real history, as they have throughout the history of the church(Fee and Stuart 2003). Moreover, in order to interpret the then and there in a more effective manner the interpreter also needs understand the general rules applicable to the Biblical words. In addition to this, the here and now help the interpreter to understand the manner in which the Almighty communicates with the individuals. Therefore, it can be said an effective understanding of these two points is very important for an interpreter to interpret the scripture in the best possible manner 5.An effective interpretation of the Scripture has always been a challenge for me. There were times when I used to have a tough time trying to interpret the Scripture for myself and had to take the help of my parents and elders to interpret the Scripture. I would say that the first challenge which I faced during the process of my interpretation of the Scripture was the use of too many obsolete as well as ecclesiastical words with which I was not very familiar. I would like to say here that I had to take the help of not only my parents and elders but also the help of the Father of our local Church to understand the exact meaning of those words and the context in which they were used. Another major challenge faced by me during the process of interpretation of the Scripture was my inability to understand the setting as well as the latent meaning of some of the parables. Once again the support provided by my elders, parents and the Father of our local Church were very helpful. Another ma jor challenge which I faced was the tension between the then and there and the here and now of the Scripture. I would like to add here that being a citizen of the 21st century I was obviously trying to interpret the Scripture in the context of the 21st century Literature however, later i came to know from my teachers and elders the then and there aspect also matter a lot. The Father of our local Church cleared up the air for me and helped me to understand there are two aspects of the Bible the eternal relevance and the human words in history and that both the aspects need to taken into consideration for an effective interpretation of the Scripture. 6.According to the authors, the antidote to bad interpretation is not no interpretation but good interpretation (Fee and Stuart 2003). An interpreter should take into consideration both the then and there and here and now aspects of the text(Fee and Stuart 2003). According to the authors, this particular problem arises because of the dual nature of the Biblical text- as an eternal relevance and human words in history (Fee and Stuart 2003). Therefore, an interpreter needs to take into consideration both these aspects of the text before embarking on the process of interpretation. In addition to this, the interpreter also needs to take into consideration the differences in the meaning of certain words used in the Bible and their common use.
